How is the PayPal fee calculated?
The fee is calculated as: (Amount × Fee%) + Fixed Fee. For example, sending $100 with a 3.49% + $0.49 rate results in a fee of $3.98, so the receiver gets $96.02.
What is the "I Want to Receive" mode?
This mode lets you figure out how much to charge so that after PayPal deducts its fee, you receive exactly the amount you need. The formula works backwards from your desired amount.
Are the fee rates up to date?
We do our best to keep rates current, but PayPal may change their fees at any time. Always verify the latest rates on the official PayPal website before making financial decisions.
Why are there different rates for the same country?
PayPal charges different fees depending on the transaction type — invoicing, goods & services, charity, micropayments, QR codes, etc. Select the one that matches your use case.
Does this calculator store my data?
